BWRT™ – what is it?

BWRT™ is a cutting edge therapy for the twenty-first century. Wendy Campbell is one of only few Psychologists in Australia with BWRT Certification.

‘BWRT®’ stands for ‘BrainWorking Recursive Therapy®’, a model of psychology and psychotherapy created by UK professional therapist, Terence Watts, MCGI. Like many other modern therapies, it allows a ‘core of privacy’ so that you do not have to divulge anything you would rather not talk about – in fact, the practitioner only needs to know how you feel and how you would prefer to feel instead. BWRT® is a completely new and different therapy based on the latest discoveries about the way the brain works and how it affects our moods, behaviour and emotions. Only Certified Practitioners have been trained to deliver BWRT® and all have to adhere to a strict ethical code. Find out more at http://www.bwrt.org

Personal problems, fears, anxieties, even severe difficulties that have lasted for years can melt away almost as if by magic, and often in just a single session when working with a professionally registered BWRT™ Practitioner. The therapy can even be carried out via the internet, so a lack of confidence, feelings of  awkwardness or tight schedules need not be an obstacle to improving your life.

In a session, the client is guided to use their own thoughts – without the therapist even needing to know what those thoughts are – in a special way to create a totally natural change that comes from within the client rather than from something the therapist says or does. All the work is done in a completely ‘awake state’ and doesn’t use hypnosis or any mysterious spiritual or religious ideas of any sort – it’s completely logical, practical and down-to-earth, and all it needs to be successful is for the client to want something in their life to be different.

The Physical Brain and A Different Approach

BWRT® – Brain Working Recursive Therapy is a way of rewiring the brain to lead a person to have a healthier and more desired response to a situation.

neural pahtways photoBWRT® utilises the accepted scientific idea of the way the brain processes information from the environment and uses this to help people to change.

The brain reacts to stimuli from the environment by looking for common themes from its history bank and then fires an electrical signal along myriad of neural pathways and gateways at lightning speed.

It happens so fast that a person is in the middle of a reaction even before they get to consciously comprehend what is happening. Hence the instant immediate palpitations, rapid heart beat and butterflies in the stomach, a person who has a spider phobia experiences even though the spider might be small, harmless and dead.

BWRT® offers a different approach based on the way the brain processes information, to help anyone to change.
